Track 3 Skiing

2022-Present

Being part of Track 3 has been such a rewarding and fulfilling experience! It’s incredible to watch students light up while trying an activity they may not usually get the chance to experience. Bringing that kind of joy and new opportunity into someone’s life is really special. Seeing the parents get just as excited and proud makes it even more meaningful. I would highly recommend joining Track 3 as a ski, sit-ski, snowboard instructor or off-hill volunteer 🙂

London Aquatic Club

2012 - present

I started my competitive swimming journey with the London Aquatic Club’s Intro to Para Swimming program in 2012. What began as a place to learn and build confidence in the water quickly became a pathway that shaped my life. Through the support of the program and its coaches, I progressed in the sport and eventually had the opportunity to compete for Canada at the international level.

I've now returned to the program as a coach. It has been incredibly meaningful to give back to the community that first introduced me to competitive swimming. I love watching athletes develop their water skills, gain confidence, and discover the same passion for competitive para swimming.

London Wheelchair Tennis

2026-Present

I had a wonderful time learning some basics of wheelchair tennis the past few weeks. I first learned about para tennis at the abilities expo here in London in September, 2025. I attended the try it night at the north London optimist arena and then decided to sign up for lessons. I am now finished the first round of lessons and am already signed up for the next session. I look forward to practicing more of what I already learned. I am grateful to the city of London for getting the sports wheelchairs and also for providing the hoyer lift for safe transfers. Also for the Play your Way Fund which paid for my lessons. I appreciate that very much too. The instructors and volunteers were all great and very accommodating. On top of all that, I met some amazing new people. I would encourage anyone to come and try it if you are interested or curious. I had never played before and really didn’t have an interest in tennis. Once I heard that wheelchair tennis might be possible for me to play, then I became curious. I am so glad I checked it out and signed up as it was a lot of fun!
